Balayage, Ombre, & Highlights – What are the differences?
For the past several years I have contracted with two mobile hairstylists that have provided mobile hair services for my clients. Recently I have discovered the extent of the talent and skills that the two hair professionals offer. They have provided traveling hair services for color and highlights for at home clients for several years. To Your Door Spa and Salon will now add mobile hair color services: Balayage and Ombre.
Mobile Hair Color and Cut Service – Balayage
I think if you take a look at our gallery of Balayage clients it will help you understand the explanation of the hair color service better. In French, “Balayage” means sweeping. The unique look that Balayage hair color offers is the softness of the regrowth. The dark space within the Balayage application allows the highlights to standout. The mobile hair stylist begins away from the roots and gradually applies the color by a hand-painting technique on the surface of each section. The underside of each section remains darker. This gives the hair a natural sun lightened effect. Since Balayage is a hand-painting technique, the artistry of the traveling hairstylist is important. The mobile hairstylist may use variations and beautiful color compositions. This is why the artistry of the mobile hairstylist is so important.
